Lokal, a vernacular digital products platform, announced the launch of AgriLokal, an agritech platform that connects farmers directly with expert agronomists. A media statement said that Lokal has launched AgriLokal to tackle long-standing challenges in agriculture. Nearly 8 in 10 Indian farmers have never received formal agricultural training, leading to inefficiencies, lower productivity, and unnecessary costs. AgriLokal enables farmers to connect instantly with agronomists in their own language and receive timely, context-aware advice on soil health, pest control, irrigation and modern farming practices. By making expert guidance available on demand, the platform helps improve yields, reduce input costs and accelerate the adoption of scientific methods without requiring farmers to leave their villages. Digital solutions for Bharat Lokal has also launched Sahi Jobs, a 40-point-checked job marketplace for India’s blue- and grey-collar workforce. The twin launches extend Lokal’s mission to empower 900 million native-language internet users with trusted, accessible digital solutions, it said. Quoting Jani Pasha, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Lokal, the statement said: “With AgriLokal and Sahi Jobs, we are deepening our commitment to solving real, everyday challenges for Bharat. These products reflect our broader vision of building dependable, language-first platforms that create lasting impact across work, livelihood and opportunity.” Empowering the next billion Sahi Jobs and AgriLokal are live on the Google Play Store. Lokal plans to scale its reach quickly by onboarding more verified employers and agronomists, while continuously improving the experience through AI-led fraud detection, localised recommendations and community feedback loops, it said. By focusing on employment and agriculture, Lokal is strengthening its role as a category creator in India’s digital economy. “With a track record of scaling multiple verticals, the company is positioning itself as Bharat’s default digital gateway, empowering millions to improve their lives and livelihoods in ways that feel natural, contextual and trustworthy,” the statement added.
