Linden house fire double murder accused pleads guilty to manslaughter

The court presided over by Acting Chief Justice Navindra Singh accepted guilty pleas to the lesser count of manslaughter from a man previously charged with two counts of murder in the fiery deaths of two of his relatives at Linden in 2023. According to the statement of agreed facts, Uhalisi Moore, called “Akali” or “Ukali,” was living at Lot 112 Second Street, Silvertown, Wismar, Linden with other family members, including the two deceased – Cheryl Moore and 12-year-old Eukeila Adams. On August 14, 2023 around 11 pm, Phillip Moore, the father of Eukeila Adams and brother of Cheryl Moore, heard noises and smelled kerosene inside the house. Upon checking, he saw the accused, who had a cutlass, set the home ablaze.
