Fashion retailer Lifestyle, part of the Landmark Group, plans to add 15-20 stores over the next two to three years, capitalising on strong double-digit growth during the festival season and rising demand in smaller cities. The company recorded robust performance during the festival period, starting with Dussehra. “We are looking at strong single-digit like-for-like growth and strong double-digit overall growth,” said Devarajan Iyer, Executive Director and CEO of Lifestyle. The omnichannel push is gaining traction, with brick-and-mortar stores posting double-digit growth while the digital business is expanding at 25-30 per cent. Beyond metros: Tier-2, tier-3 in focus While 65 per cent of Lifestyle’s business comes from the top six to seven metros- Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, and Ahmedabad, the retailer is increasingly targeting towns with populations of 10-20 lakh, where premium fashion demand is catching up with metros. “In the last two years, we’ve added 30 stores. We will add at least 15-20 stores in the next two to three years, focusing on these emerging markets,” Iyer said. The company is also investing in larger, experience-driven store formats and renovating key outlets to strengthen its position as an anchor brand across premium malls and high-street locations. This year, Lifestyle plans to renovate nine stores across high-traffic, marquee locations, of which five have been completed. Lifestyle has planned eight more for next year. “Our focus is on top-performing, high-decibel stores where we have our largest footfalls,” Iyer explained. Published on October 26, 2025
