Send your letters to letters@bangordailynews.com I hope Bangor residents will join me in voting for Daniel Carson, whom I believe is the most qualified person running for a seat on our city council. He’s been endorsed by Food and Medicine, the Eastern Maine Labor Council, United Auto Workers Region 9A, American Postal Workers local 536 and AFSCME local 926 at Bangor Public Works. At a recent community forum featuring the candidates, Daniel spoke about his ideas for creating more shared prosperity, understanding that too many working families are barely getting by in today’s economy. Extensive experience in management in the banking sector, combined with time spent as a labor organizer, gives him a unique perspective and brings his considerable background and talent to the task of city governance. Through his conversations with business owners, landlords, property developers, first responders and others I believe Daniel has developed concrete policy positions on issues like housing and transportation as well as ideas on partnering with local businesses to create a stronger, more resilient Bangor. Daniel understands that Bangor’s people are the city’s greatest asset and believes that investing in city employees through more training and education will improve efficiencies and the quality of service for residents. A vote for Daniel Carson is a vote for a better Bangor. Mary Ann Larson Bangor Election notice: The BDN will stop accepting letters and columns related to the Nov. 4 election on Wednesday, Oct. 29.
