First, it was the Yigo well that was discovered with unacceptable levels of dieldrin. Now we learn other wells, including in Dededo, are even worse. The Dededo pump station had to be shut down because of this contamination. Let’s be clear. This is not just a water issue; it’s a health and safety crisis. The Guam Waterworks Authority has said filters will be installed and completed by summer of 2026. That’s way too long! Our families, our kids, and our manåmko’ are drinking this water now. We demand GWA to fast-track these filter installations islandwide. Update the public regularly. Be transparent. Our health and lives are on the line not next year, not in 2026, right now!
