GLENVIEW, IL — Lakeshore Academy of Gymnastics, a leading area gymnastics school since the 1980s, now has a location on the North Shore. The business recently opened a new facility at 1870 Elmdale Ave., Glenview. "The state-of-the-art facility offers top-tier gymnastics, cheer, and tumbling programs for all ages and skill levels," said Lauren Svendsen, of the Glenview Chamber of Commerce, about Lakeshore Academy of Gymnastics. "Get ready to train with brand-new equipment, expert coaches, and enjoy the convenience of ample on-site parking." Lakeshore Academy of Gymnastics also has locations in Chicago and Mount Prospect. The school offers children's recreational gymnastics classes, rock climbing, competitive teams, camps, birthday parties, and more. "We provide a structured class environment for children of all ages," the business says on its website. "Our recreational classes are fun and invigorating, a great way to stay healthy, and a wonderful way to establish balance and coordination at critical points in children’s development." Class levels at the Glenview location include: Parents and toddlers (2.5 to 3.5 years) Preschool (3.5 to 5 years) Kindergarten (5.5 to 6.5 years) Boys recreational (6.5 to 12 years) Girls recreational (6.5 to 12 years) Adults (all ages and skill levels) Tumbling (5 to 18 years) The registration fee for new families is $100, and members can gain access to the company's gyms and can enroll their athletes in classes.
