KT Rolster and T1 will face off in an all-LCK grand final at the 2025 League of Legends World Championship after securing decisive victories in Shanghai over the past week. Riot Games said the quarterfinals and semifinals, held Oct. 28–Nov. 2 at Mercedes-Benz Arena, ended with both Korean squads advancing to the title match. The best-of-five final is scheduled for Nov. 9 at Chengdu’s Dong’an Lake Sports Park Multi-Purpose Gymnasium, marking the first Worlds final between LCK teams since 2022. KT Rolster’s run to the championship stage marks the organization’s first Worlds final since entering League of Legends in 2012. T1, meanwhile, is seeking a historic third consecutive championship and a fourth straight finals appearance. 2025 LoL World Championship Quarterfinals & Semifinals Results KT opened the knockout stage by sweeping CTBC Flying Oyster, the top seed from the Asia-Pacific region, on Oct. 29. Jungler Moon “Cuzz” Woo-chan led the way in the opener on Wukong to establish control, and KT rolled through the next two games behind balanced team fighting and strong mid-jungle pressure. The 3–0 win eliminated a CFO squad that reached the quarterfinals for the first time in a decade. KT then stunned widely favored Gen.G 3–1 in the semifinals on Nov. 1. After taking a tight 46-minute Game 1 and dropping Game 2, KT surged ahead with a dominant mid-lane performance in Game 3 and closed the series out confidently. Gen.G entered the event as a top title contender after a strong domestic season and global power-ranking placement. T1 entered the knockout rounds as the LCK’s No. 4 seed and continued a long-running trend of excelling against Chinese teams. After edging Anyone’s Legend 3–2 in the quarterfinals on Oct. 31—rallying from a 2–1 deficit and surviving a lopsided early game in the decider—T1 swept Top Esports 3–0 on Nov. 2. Methodical mid-game control and repeated picks on key carries allowed T1 to shut down TES across the series. The result extended T1’s unbeaten all-time best-of-five record against LPL opponents at Worlds. The team previously finished runner-up in 2022 and won titles in 2023 and 2024. KT will look to cap a milestone season, while T1 aims to cement a historic three-peat when the two meet in Chengdu.
