At the conclusion of King Center Charter's eighth grade graduation last week, the principal, assistant principal and dean of students were fired by the charter's board of trustees with students and staff still in the building. Judge Joseph C. Lorigo will weigh opposing arguments for whether King Center Charter's fired administrators and protesting parents "exhausted administrative remedies" before taking the matter to court. A King Center board response has not satisfied protesters, which means their complaints – and the future of King Center's building leadership – are now in the hands of the SUNY Charter School Institute.
