Kendra Scott opened up about what it’s really like to blend her family with her fiancé Zac Brown‘s family. While appearing on the Tuesday, October 28, episode of Today With Jenna & Friends, Scott, 51, reflected on navigating a blended family with Brown, 47. Between the two of them, they share eight children with four boys and four girls. “We are just having the time of our life,” the jewelry designer said of the new dynamic, noting that the children’s ages range between 11 and 24. She continued, “The family, that’s what’s so beautiful. When you meet somebody and fall in love, that’s incredible. But then when you see your family connect and how beautiful they all get along, it’s overwhelming how happy that is.” Scott is the proud mother to three children. She shares sons Cade, 24, and Beck, 21, with her first husband, John Scott, and son Grey, 12, with her second husband, Matt Davis. Following her divorce from Davis in 2020, she was briefly married to Thomas Evans before she began her relationship with the country music star. However, she and Evans do not share any children together. As for the “Chicken Fried” singer, he shares son Alexander, 11, and daughters Justice, 18, Lucy, 17, Georgia, 15, and Joni, 14, with his ex-wife, Shelly Brown. The former couple split in 2018 after 12 years of marriage. Brown went on to marry Kelly Yazdi at the summer of 2023, though their relationship wasn’t meant to be and they announced their separation in December of that year. Scott and Brown quietly dated for an undisclosed amount of time before they confirmed their relationship by making their red carpet debut as a couple at the 2025 American Music Awards in May. Two months later, the pair announced that they were engaged. “It was golden hour. We danced together on the boat,” Kendra recalled of the African proposal during Today With Jenna & Friends. “We listened to the song, ‘I may not be your first, but I’ll be your last.’ … I think I just said, ‘Yes, yes, yes’ before he even got out, ‘Will you marry me?’” She also revealed that Brown picked out her pink diamond engagement ring himself. “He said, ‘Baby, it’s the rarest, just like you.’ Could you die?” Scott recalled of the special moment. It’s never too late to get it right,” she told the audience, insisting that they should “believe in love” because “it can still happen.” She then concluded the topic by saying she was “so happy and so grateful” after she met and fell in love with Brown.
