A classic rock band is hitting the road for a “final” tour, including one Upstate New York concert. Journey announced its 2026 “Final Frontier Tour” dates Thursday, featuring a June 10 performance at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo. The 7:30 p.m. show is being promoted as “A Special Evening With,” suggesting no opening acts will be added. Tickets for the 60-date trek go on sale Friday, Nov. 14, at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster. Citi card members can access presale tickets starting Tuesday, Nov 11, at 10 a.m. Due to high demand, fans may also want to check for tickets on Vivid Seats, StubHub and Seat Geek. “This tour is our heartfelt thank-you to the fans who’ve been with us every step of the way — through every song, every era, every high and low,” said Journey founder Neal Schon. “We’re pulling out all the stops with a brand-new production — the hits, the deep cuts, the energy, the spectacle. It’s a full-circle celebration of the music that’s brought us all together.” But will it really be a farewell tour? The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame group has been popular for more than 50 years, reaching new fans with songs in “The Sopranos” and “Stranger Things” and frequent tours with current lead singer Arnel Pineda. “As its founding member, I carry the Journey torch to this day, wherever I go. The sentiment and spirit of the band will always remain,” Schon added. “While this marks a farewell to one powerful chapter of the Journey we’ve shared, I want everyone to know I’m not done. Music is still burning strong inside me, and there are new creative horizons ahead. This tour is both a thank-you and the beginning of what’s next.” Schon didn’t elaborate on “what’s next” for him or Journey, but a press release referred to the tour as a “final curtain call.” Variety reports Schon previously suggested more tour dates could be added in 2027. Schon is the lead guitarist of Journey, known for 1970s and ‘80s rock hits like “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart),” “Faithfully,” “Any Way You Want It,” “Don’t Stop Believin’” and “Open Arms.” The current lineup also includes Pineda (lead vocals), Jonathan Cain (keyboards, backing vocals), Jason Derlatka (keyboards, vocals), Deen Castronovo (drums, vocals) and Todd Jensen (bass). “It’s been an incredible ride,” Cain said. “We’ve shared our music with millions and this tour is about gratitude, connection and one last chance to feel that magic together. We wouldn’t want it any other way.” “I’m honored to be part of this legacy and I’m grateful for having been welcomed with such open arms,” added Pineda, who first stepped into the shoes of original Journey singer Steve Perry in 2007. “Every night on stage has been a dream come true.” Journey tour dates in 2026 Feb 28 Hershey, PA GIANT Center Mar 02 Pittsburgh, PA PPG Paints Arena Mar 04 Washington, D.C.
