Jon Bon Jovi Joins Paul McCartney for Magical Collaboration

Key Points Jon Bon Jovi will read Paul McCartney’s book 'Hey Grandude' on CBeebies Bedtime Story. Bon Jovi emphasizes music’s role in his family and values learning from his grandchildren. Bon Jovi’s 'Forever' Tour starts July 2026, with stops in New York, UK, and Ireland. Jon Bon Jovi has turned to a fellow icon, Paul McCartney, for a magical collaboration that unites their love for music and family. Bon Jovi is the latest superstar to read a CBeebies Bedtime Story. The British television channel focuses on content for children ages six and under. The icon will read Hey Grandude! written by McCartney. According to McCartney’s official website, the book “is an action-packed picture book that introduces a magical intrepid explorer grandfather — the eponymous Grandude — and his four grandchildren – he calls them Chillers. Join them as they ride flying fish, dodge stampedes, and escape avalanches.” Per the BBC, Bon Jovi picked McCartney’s picture to book to read because “it’s written by the great Paul McCartney, singer, songwriter, storyteller. He’s someone I’ve always admired and looked up to, not just for his music but for his parenting and grandparenting skills. He’s a dear friend and someone we all admire.” Parade Daily🎬 SIGN UP for Parade’s Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬 Oops! He and his wife Dorothea are parents to Stephanie, Jesse, Jake, and Romeo, and are currently grandparents to one granddaughter. Jesse and his wife, Jesse Light, will welcome their first child any day, making the rocker a “Papa” of two. “Music has played a part in all of my kids’ childhoods, whether it was bedtime, playtime, clean-up time or Daddy-time. I’m looking forward to watching my children become parents and seeing our grandchildren become part of our lives,” he said in a statement. However, he reveals that when it comes to what he plans on teaching his grandchildren, the New Jersey rocker is taking a more laid-back approach. He explained, “It’s not about what I’m going to teach my grandchildren, but what they’re going to teach me!” Paul McCartney has eight grandchildren. These include his daughter Mary McCartney‘s four sons (Arthur, Elliot, Sam, and Sid) and his daughter Stella McCartney‘s four children (Miller, Bailey, Beckett, and Reiley). McCartney is a parent to Heather, Mary, Stella, James, and Beatrice McCartney. Bon Jovi’s read-along will air in Britain only on November 7. Additionally, he will appear on an episode of the CBeebies Parenting Helpline podcast, which will be made available on the CBeebies Parenting website and BBC Sounds on Thursday, November 27, 2025. Jon Bon Jovi and his eponymous band have announced a tour supporting their latest LP, Forever. Dates include nine shows at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, and stops in Edinburgh, UK, Dublin, Ireland, and a trio of shows in London. Bon Jovi’s Forever Tour begins in July 2026.
