During WWE‘s “Saturday Night’s Main Event,” John Cena revealed a massive 16-man tournament to determine the opponent for his final match. The tournament, officially called “The My Time Is Now Tournament,” begins this month with a bracket yet to be revealed. It’s already led to speculation from fans and wrestling analysts about which superstars might show up for a chance to be in John Cena’s final match. However, WWE’s tournament bracket may already have 11 names that Cena’s promo revealed. During the “Saturday Night’s Main Event” promotional video, footage showed quick clips and highlights of various WWE stars as Cena made his announcement. Some of them were former foes, while others are superstars he’s never faced in the ring. Among the former opponents that Cena faced are The Miz, Rusev, and Sheamus. He famously battled Miz in various matches throughout his career, and he had a tag team match with The Rock against The Miz and R-Truth at WWE Survivor Series 2011. Those included WWE Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio, Drew McIntyre, Bronson Reed, Solo Sikoa, Penta, Carmelo Hayes, and GUNTHER. Interestingly, it left out Bron Breakker, which could’ve been intentional. However, if these are 11 individuals in the tournament bracket, it leaves room for five more participants. Cena indicated some of the competitors might be people who don’t work in WWE, which seems to point towards TNA or AAA, two promotions WWE is working with. Each of these individuals has some history with Cena from their time in WWE. While AEW stars participating in Cena’s tournament might seem like too much, he has plenty of recognition within the professional wrestling world, so one never knows. John Cena’s final match occurs at “Saturday Night’s Main Event” on Dec. 13, with Peacock exclusively live-streaming the big event.
