Fresh flavors, new entertainment options and keepsakes are coming to JetBlue flights just in time for the holiday travel season. “This winter, we’re turning up the holiday spirit with a few thoughtful touches,” Stephanie Evans Greene, senior vice president of marketing and brand at JetBlue told Newsweek. “From our fun pop-in Blue Charms to wear on shoes and bags, to new menu items with seasonal ingredients, and feel-good holiday movies, we’re making sure every flight feels like part of your holiday celebration rather than just your trip to get there.” New JetBlue Blue Charms The New York-based airline is introducing Blue Charms, a pop-in style charm for shoes and apparel. Blue Charms will come in two styles, the Wings Blue Charm and the Spotlight Tailfin Blue Charm. The wearable keepsake will be distributed like JetBlue wings pins, upon request and available to children and adults. JetBlue Blue Charms. ‘Blue Bloods’ spin-off comes to JetBlue first JetBlue will be first airline to offer episodes of the new CBS series “Boston Blue” on seatback entrainment screens. The Donnie Wahlberg-led crime drama is a spin-off of the heralded “Blue Bloods” series, which ran for 14 seasons, ending in December 2024. Festive and fan favorites come to the screen Seatback entertainment is getting a Christmastime refresh with added films for flyers to enjoy including “A Christmas Story” (1983), “Elf”, “Frozen”, “The Nightmare Before Christmas” and “Home Alone.” Christmastime rom-coms also make the cut with “A Merry Royal Christmas,” “Jingle All the Way to Love” and “The Perfect Christmas Date” added. JetBlue travelers will have access to the airline’s Fresh Start entertainment collection in the new year. Titles include Eat Pray Love, Soul and About Time. Classics like “The Devil Wears Prada,” “Wicked” and “Jurassic Park” will be found in the Crewmembers Picks section. Seasonal menu upgrades JetBlue continues its partnership with partner Charlie Bird, a SoHo (New York City) restaurant where four-time James Beard Award nominee Ryan Hardy is head chef. New menu options for Mint (premium business class) passengers include: Salted Greek yogurt with pumpkin seed granola and currants Crêpe with ricotta and hazelnut praline Banana bread pudding with crème anglaise Spinach Frittata with goat’s cheese, herb salad and parmigiano Lunch and dinner: Pork shoulder with figs, lardons and rosemary jus Mushroom lasagna with béchamel and parmigiano Orecchiette with spicy vodka sauce, pecorino and basil Shrimp curry and fingerling potatoes Passengers in economy class seats have access to seasonal selections by Dig Inn, an American chain of restaurants boasting locally-sourced food, on routes to and from Europe. Those options include: Overnight oats with coconut milk, banana, maple, roasted squash and candied pumpkin seeds Egg salad croissant with pickled onions, roasted tomatoes and arugula Banana Bread with chocolate chips and cinnamon or Carrot Cake with cinnamon, raisins and cream Lunch and dinner: Pesto pasta salad with herb chicken, nut-free kale pesto, green beans and roasted tomatoes Ginger garlic tofu with chilled soba noodles, cider garlic sauce, pickled daikon and carrots with sesame Sheet tray carrots with coriander and marjoram JetBlue offers more South Florida flight options Last month, the airline reconfirmed its commitment to South Florida destinations. It will now offer over 25 flights touching Fort Lauderdale with the company’s Mint service. That gives the company the distinction of offering more transcontinental lie-flat seats from South Florida than any other carrier, JetBlue touted in a press release.
