A Tornado Warning remains in effect for parts of Parker County, Texas, including Weatherford, Willow Park, and Reno, as a severe storm with a persistent rotating updraft moves northeast at about 20 mph, according to the National Weather Service. Radar has indicated a possible tornado in the area, with pea-sized hail also reported. The warning is currently active until 8:00 p.m. CDT, with an additional update extending coverage for Parker County until 8:30 PM. Authorities urge residents in the warning area to take immediate shelter in a safe interior room, away from windows, and to remain there until the warning expires. Terrible driving conditions have been reported along major routes, including Interstate 20, Highway 199, and Highway 287, as heavy rain and strong winds reduce visibility. Roughly 63,000 people are currently under the tornado warning, officials said. The storm continues to move northeast across the region, and residents are urged to monitor weather alerts closely and avoid travel until conditions improve. Residents in this area are advised to move to higher ground immediately and avoid walking or driving through flood waters. The estimated population under this flash flood warning is around 104,000. Governor Greg Abbott has already directed the Texas Division of Emergency Management to activate state emergency response resources as severe storms are possible across a large portions of Texas, including Houston, through the weekend.
