Jaguars Kicker Issued Drug Test by NFL After Breaking Field Goal Record

Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Cam Little etched his name into the NFL record books on Sunday, as he kicked a 68-yard field goal. This is now the league record, surpassing Justin Tucker's 66-yard kick that occurred in 2021. Though his kick was not the deciding factor, the three points helped Jacksonville to pick up their fifth win of the season. Following the record kick, Little revealed he was immediately sent a drug test by the NFL. Little took to X to post about the drug test, stating, "Already?" More news: Dolphins Asking Price for Jaylen Waddle Trade Reportedly Revealed There have been hilarious moments where players have gone off for multiple touchdowns and a lot of yards, and almost immediately get sent a notice for a drug test. With Little kicking a record 68-yard field goal, he now joins the pantheon of players who were drug tested immediately after securing a major feat in the NFL. Interestingly, Little is no stranger to huge kicks. During preseason, the Jaguars' kicker nailed a 70-yarder. That also became an NFL record, though it did not count, as it was not during regular season play. Little also took to X when he set the 70-yarder in preseason, and stated that it would not be the last 70-yard field goal kicked. The Jaguars clearly have a solid kicker, and one that can drill long-shot field goals. Through the season thus far, Little is 13-for-17 on the year, with 56 points. He is 2-for-4 on field goals over 50 yards, and 4-for-6 on field goals in the 40-49 yard range. Though Little only has a 76.5 field goal percentage in 2025 thus far, his 68-yard shot will be the record until someone else can beat it. Kickers have been hitting huge kicks in 2025, with three kicks being over 64 yards in 2025, according to a report from CBS Sports. It is highly likely Little will not have a positive drug test, but the kicker can now boast the fact that the NFL assumed he was cheating by setting the field goal record.
