On Monday, Tim MacMahon and Tim Bontemps appeared on Brian Windhorst's "Hoop Collective" podcast and spoke about Morant's future in Memphis, when Bontemps made a shocking revelation. MacMahon inquired about Morant's market value in the NBA."No. I don’t think there is one," Bontemps said.Bontemps echoed MacMahon's point that for the Memphis Grizzlies to set a winning culture in the franchise, either Ja Morant will have to get in line, or they might have to trade him, and trading him only seemed to be an option. Moreover, according to Bontemps, one of the reasons that Morant didn't have a robust market for himself because he hadn't been a "difference maker" for the Grizzlies.In six seasons, Morant has played in Memphis, and his team has made the playoffs four times. Out of those four times, three have been first-round exits and a second-round exit in 2021-22.
