Ireland do battle with New Zealand this weekend as the sides return to the scene of the legendary battle between the countries nine years ago. Joe Schmidt's side famously recorded Ireland's first ever victory over the All Blacks at Soldier Field in Chicago in 2016, running out 40-29 winners. They followed that win up with two more on Irish soil in 2018 and 2021, as well as recording two victories over them in New Zealand during their 2022 tour. However, the All Blacks have beaten Ireland in the past two Rugby World Cups and the score between them since the first Soldier Field clash is 5-4 in favour of New Zealand. Caelan Doris is expected to lead Ireland into battle for this weekend's clash after being confirmed as fit for the match, which is the first of four fixtures for Andy Farrell's side this month.
