Work on 100 projects with investments to the tune of ₹35,111 crore, which were signed at the Invest Kerala Global Summit in February, has begun, Industries Minister P. Rajeeve has said. The 100th project to enter the construction phase is the Warehousing and Industrial Park at Aluva being implemented by NDR Space. Leading global companies, including those that signed Letter of Intent (LOI) at the investor meet, have already started construction of their investment projects. Mr. Rajeeve said that land has been made available for 276 projects. Letters of Intent to the tune of ₹1.80 lakh crore were signed by 449 companies at the meet. Among these, Italian animation giant Dynimated and logistics company Avigna have completed their construction and started operations. Adani Logistics Park, Life Science Company under Krishna Ella’s Bharat Biotech, Systrome, S.F.O Technologies, Gasha Steels T.M.T. Plant, K.G.A International, Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, Aqoza Technologies, Vinvish Technologies, W.G.H. Hotels, and Jacob & Richard are also among the companies that started construction work. Investments have already been made in various sectors, including tourism, information technology, food processing, manufacturing of electronic components, pharmaceuticals, wood-based industries, health care and others. The advisory committee chaired by the Industries Minister reviews the projects in a time-bound manner. Progress is also being assessed in the Chief Minister’s priority project review. As many as 22 policy reforms have been implemented to speed up project implementation. A task force has also been formed in the Local Self-Government department to give special consideration to Invest Kerala Global Summit projects.
