The much-anticipated Indian Pickleball Association (IPA) Nationals is set to begin on November 13, Thursday, at The Sports School, Kanakapura, Bengaluru. Organised by the Karnataka Pickleball Association (KPA) and sanctioned by the IPA, the National Sports Federation for pickleball, the championships mark India’s first-ever PWR2000 World Ranking Event — a historic milestone for the sport in the country. The finals will be played on November 16. A total prize money of Rs 11 lakh will be up for grabs. After months-long selection trials across states affiliated with the IPA, the selected players will now descend on Bengaluru to take part in the biggest pickleball competition in the country. Over 1,000 players will compete across four action-packed days on 17 world-class courts at The Sports School, with participation from major states including Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, Kerala, Punjab, Delhi, and Tamil Nadu. Notably, the IPA Nationals will also determine the top-performing players for the US Open Pickleball Championships. As part of the partnership signed between the IPA and the American tournament on the sidelines of the Pickleball World Cup in late October, five amateur and five junior players from India will receive direct entry into the 10th edition of the US Open Pickleball Championships, set to take place in April 2026 in Naples, Florida. IPA Nationals 2025 categories The Nationals will feature Open and Interstate categories across Singles, Doubles, and Mixed Doubles events spanning various age divisions. The event, officially recognised as the National Championships for pickleball by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, will be broadcast live on Times Network, with extensive digital coverage across social media and streaming platforms, giving pickleball unparalleled national visibility. Last year's medallists: 35+ Men’s Singles Rahul Belwal (Delhi) emerged as the champion with a stellar performance. Santosh Bhagat (Delhi) secured the second position. Yuvraj Singh (Delhi) claimed the third spot with consistent gameplay. 35+ Men’s Doubles The duo of Krish Patel and Krishan Patel (Gujarat) clinched the top spot. Sohel Makani and Niraj Jain (Maharastra) finished as runners-up. Suryaveer Singh Bhullar and Dilesh Bhullar (Gujarat) stood third with a strong showing. 35+ Women’s Singles Priyanka Mehta (Maharastra) dominated to claim the first position. Monica Menon (Delhi) secured the runner-up spot. Simran Bangera (Maharastra) rounded out the top three. 35+ Women’s Doubles Simran Bangera and Sindoor Mittal (Maharastra) emerged victorious in this category. Praachi Jain Chander and Sakshi Aggarwal (Delhi) took second place. Kirty Harit and Mandana Bhandari (Rajasthan) secured third. 35+ Mixed Doubles Rahul Belwal and Monica Menon (Delhi) showcased their synergy to win the title. Open Men’s Doubles The pair of Armaan Bhatia and Harsh Mehta (Maharashtra) emerged as champions. Divyanshu Kataria and Aditya Ruhela secured second place. Ritesh Jaiswal and Aryaan Bhatia claimed the third spot. Open Women’s Singles Amrita Mukherjee (West Bengal) triumphed as the champion. Rakshikha Ravi claimed the second spot.
