I test Garmins for a living and these are the 5 Garmin watches I expect to see in the Black Friday sales

If you were hoping to pick up one of the best Garmin watches at a discount in the recent Amazon Prime Day sales, you were probably disappointed. I was surprised at the lack of deals, but I’m quietly confident that the big discounts have been saved for Black Friday. The Black Friday sales now usually run for several weeks through November, so you shouldn’t have to wait long now for Garmin watch deals to start showing up, and if past years are anything to go by there will be a wide selection of the brand’s wearables on sale. I’ve been testing and reviewing Garmin watches for a decade, as well as covering big sales periods like Black Friday, so usually I have a good idea of what watches you can expect to see discounted. There’s no guarantee these deals will appear, but based on my experience, I expect to see deals on these five Garmin watches in particular. Garmin Forerunner 165 This won’t be the most exciting discount because the Garmin Forerunner 165 is an older watch and almost always on sale, but I expect both the music and non-music model of the entry-level running watch to drop by at least $50 in the Black Friday sales. It’s a great option for new runners, or experienced ones who prefer a smaller, simpler device on their wrist. Garmin Vivoactive 6 This is one of the newer watches in Garmin’s line-up, but has already dropped by $50 at one point earlier this year, so I’m hoping for the same deal to crop up this Black Friday. The Vivoactive 6 is one of the more affordable Garmin watches and has a smartwatch-style look and great sports tracking. Garmin Forerunner 265 The launch of the Garmin Forerunner 570 this years means that its predecessor, the Forerunner 265, is a likely candidate for discounts this Black Friday. It’s a brilliant lightweight running and triathlon watch with a bright AMOLED screen, and with luck it will drop by at least $100, a deal that has been available in the past on the Forerunner 265. Garmin Forerunner 965 With the Garmin Forerunner 970 now sitting at the top of the Forerunner line-up, its predecessor is ripe for discounts, and the Forerunner 965 has been reduced by as much as $100 in past sales. At that price, or maybe even less, it’s the best value sports watch you can get, offering comprehensive sports tracking and training analysis, and offline maps. Garmin Epix Pro The Epix Pro has been superseded by both the Garmin Fenix 8 AMOLED and Garmin Fenix 8 Pro at this point, so it’s nearly always reduced somewhere. It’s on sale right now, in fact, but I’d expect its price to drop even lower in the Black Friday sales. It’s been available for $600-$650 in the past, depending on the size you go for.
