Residents and business owners in Jamaica's Montego Bay prepared on Sunday (October 26) for the arrival of hurricane Melissa by stocking up on supplies, boarding up windows and covering doors with sand bags. Hurricane Melissa has developed into a Category 4 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of up to 140 mph (220kmh) and is expected to strengthen as it heads towards Jamaica, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said on Sunday. Gas and generators are some of the supplies locals are looking for ahead of the storm, which is already bringing rain to the Caribbean Island.
