Human Rights Monitor: Israeli Occupation Army Kills 8 Palestinians Daily Despite Ceasefire Agreement

Geneva, November 10 (QNA) – The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor confirmed Monday that it has documented the continued deliberate killings perpetrated by the Israeli occupation against Palestinian civilians over the past four weeks, revealing that the occupation army kills an average of eight Palestinians daily. In a statement, the Monitor said that since the ceasefire agreement came into effect a month ago, the occupation has continued to kill Palestinian civilians. During this period, 242 Palestinians have been killed, including 85 children, an average of more than eight deaths per day. Approximately 619 others have been injured, more than 20 injuries per day, a clear indication that the occupation forces have not ceased their policy of systematically killing and targeting Palestinians. The Monitor noted that the occupation continues its violations on the ground by excluding the areas it controls, which constitute more than 50 percent of the Gaza Strip, from the ceasefire agreement, as it continues to carry out demolition and destruction operations. The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor explained that the occupation army is exploiting the absence of international oversight to reshape the field geography in Gaza, and is using the ceasefire as a cover to complete the destruction of the living environment, both now and in the future, in the areas it directly controls militarily.
