Hull City will aim to move into pole position in the race to sign UCD midfielder Adam Brennan when they invite the 18-year-old over to train with them later this month. Brennan has been targeted by a host of Championship sides after an excellent season with the Students . He scored nine goals in 28 First Division appearances and contributed 12 assists. The youngster will travel next week to the Netherlands with the Ireland Under-19 team to play in the European Championship first round qualifiers. Ireland have been drawn against the group hosts, as well as Cyprus and Kazakhstan, and will play each team between November 12 and 18, with the top two securing a place in the Elite qualification phase. Once he returns from international duty, he will head over to Hull, who could make him their third signing from UCD in 12 months. Last winter they snapped up Students pair Hugh Parker and Cathal McCarthy. McCarthy returned to Belfield on-loan until he completed his Leaving Cert. He already has two Championship appearances to his name - against Blackburn Rovers and Bristol City. There is, however, plenty of interest from rivals of the Tigers for Brennan, ahead of the January transfer window, with a number of clubs looking to get him to commit before Christmas.
