Dr. Wendy Osefo is grateful for the impact Wife Swap: Real Housewives Edition had on her family. “It’s an experience of a lifetime,” the Real Housewives of Potomac star exclusively shared with Us Weekly before her episode airs on Sunday, November 9. “It’s so interesting to see yourself through the lens of others. And it’s one of those experiences you can’t put a price tag on. I really enjoyed myself.” While Wendy, 41, is used to running her busy Maryland household with strict rules, a tight schedule and education at the forefront, everything was thrown out the window when she swapped lives with Alethea Shapiro. The free-spirited Floridian prioritizes fun, independence and no rules. In fact, playing basketball at 1 a.m. is more than acceptable. While fans will have to watch what happens, Wendy said the experience changed her marriage to Eddie Osefo. “It changed the way I approached it, meaning it doesn’t always have to be one-sided being like, ‘OK, Wendy makes the role.’ No, I think that Eddie’s an amazing father and amazing husband, and he’s more than capable of being able to cocreate whatever we decide, and he’s really doing that a lot.” In August, Wendy and Eddie — who share kids Karter, 12, Kruz, 10, and Kamrynn, 6 — celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary with a tropical beach getaway. Their relationship continues to be documented on The Real Housewives of Potomac, airing Sundays on Bravo. While Wife Swap: Real Housewives Edition may have changed Wendy’s perspective on her marriage, it also had an impact on the way she cleans up the house after a long day’s work. “Vacuuming every day? Who has time for that?” Wendy told Us. “I’m not doing that. Those things are just like, it’s OK if it doesn’t get done today or if it doesn’t get done this week. As for why the host of The Dr. Wendy Show sometimes vacuums in heels, she explained it’s all about the straight lines. “You need to know where you’ve gone over so you can know what you have to do,” she joked. Based on the hit global format, Wife Swap: Real Housewives Edition follows a different Real Housewife and a real wife as they navigate swapping their everyday comforts and luxuries to fully immerse themselves in a vastly different familial experience. The unique journey aims to challenge everything they thought they knew about themselves and the world around them. Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Melissa Gorga, Real Housewives of Orange County’s Emily Simpson and Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’s Angie Katsanevas all participated in the new series. “I still can’t believe I did this! 😳Who in their right mind would swap wives?! “ Melissa, 46, joked via Instagram on September 16. “I can’t wait for you to see this craziness😆🙌🏼.”
