The Warriors upset the No. 2 seed Houston Rockets in the first round of the playoffs after coming out of the play-in tournament, before the Timberwolves dispatched them in a five-game second-round series. Portland improved from 21 wins to 36 last season but hasn’t been to the postseason since 2021.
