The Sacramento Kings start their 2025-26 NBA season by traveling to the Mortgage Matchup Center to face the Phoenix Suns in the first game of the NBA regular season for both clubs. How to Watch Kings vs Suns When: Wednesday, October 22, 2025 Time: 10:00 PM ET TV Channel: NBC Sports California Plus, KPHE Live Stream: Fubo (try for free) The Kings are a team in flux, having a middling club that has won 46 and 40 games in each of their last two seasons, with questions about an ill-fitting roster. They have talented players, with DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine, and Domantas Sabonis leading the way, but they have struggled to find an identity. Letting go of their star (De’Aaron Fox) in the middle of last season (in his prime, no less) did no favors for them. Phoenix enters the season with its fourth new head coach in four years, a testament to the unraveling of what looked to be a championship roster. Gone are Bradley Beal and Kevin Durant, leaving just Devin Booker from what was their superstar trio. Booker is still as electric as any guard in the league and is coming off a career-high 7.1 assists per game, but his surrounding cast has drastically changed, with Dillon Brooks and Jalen Green as the key new members of the team.
