The Celtics are 1-3 thanks to a 122-90 win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday, the second game in a road back-to-back. Anfernee Simons led the team with 25 points off the bench along with six rebounds. There were five other guys who scored in double-figures including four of the starters, and Luka Garza off the bench. Payton Pritchard (18), Garza (16), Jaylen Brown (15), Josh Minott (15) and Derrick White (11) combined for 75 points and 21 of the team’s 25 assists. Brown has been battling injury early in the season and is once again listed as a game-time decision, but he is probable and expected to play. Meanwhile, the Cavaliers will be without three rotational players including starters Darius Garland and Max Strus, who are yet to play this season. Cleveland is 3-1 coming into this contest and riding a three-game winning streak. The Cavaliers also played a back-to-back on Sunday and Monday, but they earned wins over the Milwaukee Bucks in the first half, and then they defeated the Detroit Pistons teams that beat the Celtics on Sunday in the second half of the back-to-back. Cleveland won that game 116-95 behind 35 from Donovan Mitchell, 20 from Jarrett Allen and 15, 11 boards and five assists from Evan Mobley.
