There are some lovely Christmas markets in Birmingham for 2025. The Birmingham German Christmas Market is the first one to open, running from November 1 right through to Christmas Eve in Victoria Square and on New Street. Then, there's Christmas on Cathedral Square, running for six weeks from November 7 to December 24 with lots of traditionally English food and drink plus plenty of unusual gift ideas from local artisans. The map above, compiled by WMCA, shows all the bus stops in the city centre so you know where you can be dropped off and picked up. There's also a Travel for West Midlands Journey Planner which enables you to plan your route in and out of the city and is easier to use on mobile phones or on the go. Paperdolls Handmade is another market happening close to the city centre in Deritend on November 29 and 30. Featuring more than 50 local creatives, this is the place to go for jewellery, homewares, gifts, art and ceramics you won't find on the high street. There are also Christmas markets taking place within an hour of Birmingham that are easy to reach by bus or tram from the city centre.
