The course starts on Leeson Street and then runs north through the city centre, turns left along Arran Quay and then up through Smithfield and on to the Phoenix Park. After the Park, the route turns back towards town at Castleknock, runs into Chapelizod and then on to South Circular Road via Sarsfield Road.
