Chatrapur: As the low pressure rains are ongoing in the state, Ganjam district collector Keerthi Vasan V has inspected the cyclone shelter homes. He has visited the cyclone shelter homes at Upulaputi, Aryapalli of Chatrapur block and Gopalpur and Rangeilunda in Rangeilunda block alongwith other coastal parts in the district. While an orange warning has been issued for Ganjam due to light rain, the district administration is fully prepared to deal with it. All block and tehsil administrations have been asked to be alert. The District Collector has declared a holiday for all government and private schools and anganwadi centers in the district today. All cyclone shelters in the district have been kept ready. The District Collector said that they will be used if required. Fishermen have been prohibited from going into the sea. It has been ordered that no government official can leave the headquarters without permission. A 24-hour control room has been opened in the district.
