STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — This holiday season the St. George Theatre is turning 96 years old and with the milestone comes a special one-night-only performance. The production is set for Thursday, Dec. 4 — the day the theater opened in 1929 — at 7:30 p.m. The evening promises to showcase a blend of music and comedy. The celebration will feature Emmy Award-winner Jane Lynch, alongside the comedic talents of Kate Flannery — best known as Meredith from “The Office” — vocal stylings of Tim Davis, and the The Tony Guerrero Quintet. Guests will also be afforded a pre-show presentation by GULES in the theater lobby, complemented by mocktails, craft cocktails, and holiday-inspired beverages. Guests can expect holiday favorites, unexpected musical mashups, and some back and forth witty banter. Whether it’s a sultry take on “Santa Baby” or a big-band twist on “Jingle Bells,” the show will capture the spirit of the season. For additional information, phone St. George Theatre Box Office Tuesday through Friday from noon until 5 p.m. at 718 442-2900. For a limited time, every new donation will be matched 2:1 through a matching Staten Island Foundation grant program, tripling your impact and helping to sustain historic preservation, live entertainment, education, and community engagement on Staten Island. As the St. George Theatre celebrates its 96th anniversary, all are invited to become a member and join in ensuring the theater’s legacy for generations to come.
