Gorgeous mile-long path that's flooded with hot young tech tycoons looking for a partner

Young people on the West Coast have seemingly found the cure to dating-app fatigue by flocking to a waterside path, which one creator called the 'Bridgerton promenade in real life' and the 'sluttiest mile on the West Coast.' The Marina Green in San Francisco is going viral on social media for being flooded with rich, hot young people looking for a partner. Violet Witchel, 25, a California-based content creator with nearly three million followers on TikTok, shared her theory about dating in the city in a now-viral video. 'Marina Green is potentially the sluttiest mile on the West Coast. If not the United States,' Witchel declared. She continued that young singles will walk on the path and scope each other out. Witchel said that some will whip their heads around to get someone's number if they find them attractive. 'I've seen it happen,' she promised. Witchel speculated that some men in San Francisco would get a dog just to have an excuse to talk to girls on the Marina Green. 'It's the most insane thing. If you go around 9am on a Sunday morning, be warned. Be warned what you're getting into!' Social media users flooded the comments to discuss Witchel's theory, with one writing: 'The people yearn for the promenade.' 'One positive aspect of this is that people are meeting in the wild rather than on an app. I lament the fact that people rarely have the courage to approach each other anymore,' another added. 'And it’s always been that way!! my 70 yro therapist met his *first* wife there sitting on a bench decades ago lol,' a third shared. 'Omg this explains the weird stares. I thought everyone was just getting competitive with each other,' a fourth joked. However, others pointed out that the interactions aren't abnormal, with one writing: 'This is normal human interaction throughout the world. 'People make eye contact, smile, you walk over and get their number after a brief chat. Happens at bars, parties, workplaces, concerts, trains, parks, and dances.' 'I mean, that’s what dating was before apps ruined it,' another pointed out. Witchel told the San Francisco Standard that the Marina Green has been notorious since her mother lived in the city after college. She noted that most people in the area are white, in their mid-twenties to early thirties, own a Goldendoodle, and often hold degrees from California Polytechnic State University, UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara, or Stanford. Witchel added that the young people in the area often work in tech, sales, marketing, or finance, and earn at least $90,000 a year. Witchel isn't the only one taking note, as many creators in the area have shared similar experiences on social media. Lifestyle creator Lauren Wickham posted a sarcastic TikTok video teasing the men on the Marina Green who get their workout in by checking out girls instead of running down the promenade. 'POV: when his cardio includes checking out every girl on the Marina Green,' she wrote alongside the video. Another creator, Alicia Luna, shared a video in a purple athletic set, and wrote: 'I just ran* the Marina Green (scouted for the future loml*). However, the Marina Green may have an East Coast rival, with New York-based content creators declaring the West Side Highway as the ideal place to meet successful and attractive young singles. Creator Chiara King posted a TikTok last year declaring the walkway was 'THE place to meet people.' 'Ladies - forget dating apps. If you're looking for a husband, get a flight to New York and take a run on the West Side Highway. I swear to God, I have never seen so many hot people taking a run here. It's just hot people... what is going on here?' 'It's a melting pot of the hottest people in New York who care about their fitness.' Even men have joined in on the fun, with content creator Joshua Rusniak sharing a video of himself running over the summer with the caption: 'Day 3 of trying to find my wife on the West Side Highway.
