ABC's "Good Morning America" will broadcast live from The Skeleton House, 6000 St. Charles Ave., New Orleans, with the Krewe of Boo Float on Oct. 31, as part of its “50 States in 50 Weeks: America the Beautiful.” Actor and former "Good Morning America" contributor Cameron Mathison will report live throughout the morning, highlighting the state of Louisiana. The owners of the Skeleton House and some friends will also be on site with Mathison. ABC launched the yearlong series in honor of the show's 50th anniversary and the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States Each week, a “GMA” anchor or correspondent visits a new state, following the order in which the state joined the United States, to spotlight a local changemaker and showcase the state’s unique culture, history, traditions and landmarks. Viewers are invited to nominate inspiring individuals in their communities who are making a meaningful impact. “50 States in 50 Weeks: America the Beautiful” will run through July 2026, celebrating the milestone in a heartful way with audiences nationwide. “This series is a chance for us to explore the country and share stories that reflect the heart of each state,” said Simone Swink, senior executive producer of “Good Morning America," in a release. “We’re looking forward to meeting people, highlighting what makes each state special and proudly keeping the ‘A’ in ‘GMA.’” The journey kicked off July 3 in Delaware, the first state to be admitted to the U.S. Additional coverage from “50 States in 50 Weeks: America the Beautiful” will air on GMA3, ABC News Live and ABC News digital and social platforms.
