Gold Rate Today: Gold prices in India edged lower on Friday, marking a mild correction after showing volatility through the past few weeks. Following record highs in early October, when 24-carat gold touched around Rs 1,32,770 per 10 grams, prices slipped by the end of October and have continued to fluctuate in early November. As per the latest market data, 24K gold is trading at Rs 12,202 per gram, down by Rs 55. 22K gold has dropped by Rs 50 to Rs 11,185 per gram, while 18K gold stands at Rs 9,152 per gram, a decline of Rs 41. Gold, often viewed as a safe-haven asset and a hedge against inflation, remains the most preferred investment metal in its 24-carat form, while 22K and 18K varieties are primarily used for jewellery making. Gold Prices Across Major Indian Cities on November 7, 2025 Gold prices remained largely consistent across major cities on Friday, with minor regional variations. In Chennai, 24K gold is priced highest at Rs 12,295 per gram, followed by Rs 12,217 in Delhi. Most other cities, including Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kerala, and Pune, recorded Rs 12,202 per gram for 24K gold. In the same cities, 22K gold stood at Rs 11,185 per gram and 18K gold at Rs 9,152 per gram. Meanwhile, Vadodara and Ahmedabad saw a slight uptick, with 24K at Rs 12,207, 22K at Rs 11,190, and 18K at Rs 9,157 per gram.
