The New York Giants have two wins through eight games this season, meaning it's time to start looking ahead to the 2026 NFL Draft. With a class that is loaded with talented offensive players, the Giants have an opportunity to bolster their depth at key positions. Let's first identify the team's key needs, then reveal the picks I made using PFF's mock draft simulator. Lastly, NFL Draft analyst Ryan Roberts provided feedback on my picks. Giants' team needs for the 2026 NFL Draft There are ultimately two position groups that have to be the main priorities in this upcoming draft: offensive line and wide receiver. The front office needs to emphasize that they not only need to draft both positions early but also strongly consider double-dipping at both spots.Outside of Andrew Thomas, any of the current Giants' offensive linemen can be replaced. Since the absolute failure that was Evan Neal, they've needed a high-level right tackle to play opposite Thomas. They also could use upgrades at guard or, at the very least, improved depth.Wide receiver is a position that desperately needs juice. Once Malik Nabers returns from injury, he needs more impactful playmakers playing alongside him. The Giants don't need another 1,200-yard guy, but at the very least, multiple 800-plus receivers in the mix to help the offense reach its potential. Most importantly, Jaxson Dart needs more quality targets. If the Giants can draft a quality possession receiver early and a solid depth player on Day 3, they'll have a solid unit in 2026. Lastly, on defense, the Giants' defensive tackle room needs more big bodies to help against the run and more talent at safety. While Darius Alexander is showing signs of improvement, the group needs additional depth. The same goes for safety, where they don't need a starter, but rather quality depth and sub-package players 7-round Giants 2026 mock draft Round 1, Pick 6: Spencer Fano, RT, UtahRound 2, Pick 38: Chris Bell, WR, LouisvilleRound 4, Pick 106: Chase Bisontis, IOL, Texas A&MRound 5, Pick 145: Adon Shuler, S, Notre DameRound 6, Pick 183: DeMonte Capeheart, DT, ClemsonRound 6, Pick 184: Kevin Coleman, WR, MissouriRound 7, Pick 193: Kage Casey, Boise State Giants mock draft grade A to Z Sports NFL Draft analyst Ryan Roberts broke down how he felt I did with my 7-round mock draft. Surprisingly, knowing how critical Ryan is of me, he gave me a good grade. I hate to give Joe too much credit, but this one of the better Giants’ mock drafts that I’ve seen so far. With quarterback Jaxson Dart in place, whether head coach Brian Daboll is retained or not, this team has to build around him. It starts with protection, where Spencer Fano should become the starting right tackle immediately. Bisontis is a massive steal in the early fourth round, having the talent to compete inside early as well. After the run that Louisville wide receiver Chris Bell has been on, there’s a high likelihood that he’ll be gone by the beginning of the second round, but if he’s there, he presents a perfect complement to Malik Nabers when he returns from injury. Kevin Coleman is also a sound investment later on Day Three, presenting upside as an after-catch weapon. There was value throughout the draft overall. I’m not sure that Notre Dame safety Adon Shuler declares if he’s being projected in that range, but he should, at worst, become a valuable special teamer with developmental upside. Kage Casey is also a valuable swing player who can play multiple spots. There really isn’t a pick in this draft overall that I dislike.
