Giants' Jaxson Dart Sends Fiery Message to Team After Loss to Eagles

Jaxson Dart and the New York Giants were hoping to pull off a surprising season sweep over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 8 NFL action. After beating the Eagles earlier this season, the Giants were unable to pull off the feat. Unfortunately, New York ended up losing the game by a final score of 38-20. Not only did the Giants lose the game, they also suffered a major injury blow. Cam Skattebo, the team’s star rookie running back, went down with a gruesome leg injury. When the injury occurred, his foot was pointed in the wrong direction and he was carted off of the field with what seems likely to be a season-ending injury. Jaxson Dart #6 of the New York Giants passes the ball against the Philadelphia Eagles during the fourth quarter in the game at Lincoln Financial Field on October 26, 2025 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After the game, Dart spoke out with a fiery message to his team. He’s clearly not happy with his team’s inability to win football games so far this season. “We’ve got to start figuring out ways to win because I hate (losing),” Dart said. “I’m not used to it. I’m not just going to accept it. I’m not going to be OK with it. We as a team can’t be OK with it. We’ve got to figure this out.” No one can blame Dart for the way he’s feeling. The Giants have had plenty of opportunities to win games, but have come up short in many of them. There isn’t a better example than New York losing to the Denver Broncos last game after giving up 33 points in the fourth quarter and falling by a final score of 33-32. Dart played a decent game against the Eagles. He completed 14 of his 24 pass attempts for 193 yards, a touchdown, and no interceptions. Dart looks the part of a long-term franchise quarterback. Skattebo has a chance to be a long-term answer at running back, although there is major concern about the severity of his injury. Only time will tell, but Dart is clearly frustrated with losing. Hopefully, New York will be able to continue developing throughout the rest of the season and start putting some wins together.
