The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) has expressed apprehension over recent media reports revealing its nomination for the 2024 National Sports Commission (NSC) Best Sportsman of the Year award. This was stated in a press release from the GFF. The GFF stated that it’s disheartening that this confidential information, which was submitted to the NSC in strict confidence in keeping with the established process, has been made public before the official announcement. The federation further noted that despite Glasgow’s continued achievements, the NSC, who is responsible for making the final decision on the eventual winners, has never bestowed a national sporting accolade on Glasgow.
