When it comes to reviews for the Forerunner 55, shoppers have been massively praising the device. One reviewer said: "This is the basic Garmin Forerunner but it's great. "I'm training for a half-marathon and it tracks the runs accurately and I was able to link it with Strava. The only thing to watch out for is that your phone is compatible with Garmin Connect. "My phone was not compatible and so an upgrade was required which, to be fair, was over due. Highly recommend this product." Another user added: "This watch meets all my requirements as a casual/entry-level runner (two to three times a week, between 5- 10k each time). This watch doesn’t have a touch screen but I prefer it this way. "I used to have a fitness tracker with a touch screen, and you could accidentally stop the tracking if your long sleeve rubs against the watch face. It is also easy to read the screen on this Garmin watch outdoors, which I always struggled to do with my previous fitness trackers." However, not everyone was a fan of the device. One user who didn't like the lack of a touchscreen added: "It's ok. I didn't read up enough on it and didn't realise it's not a touchscreen. "Quite complicated to use compared to other watches I tried to be honest and it doesn't display my steps on the home screen, so have to fiddle with buttons in a certain sequence to find them."
