Framber Valdez Predicted To Betray Astros For 5-Year Deal With NL Contender

The Houston Astros completely collapsed down the stretch. They fell out of postseason contention with a few games left in the season. Now they’re at risk of losing one of their better players in free agency. Framber Valdez is headed to free agency, and the Astros will need to give up quite a lot of money to re-sign him. But they’re bound to have a lot of competition in his free agency sweepstakes. Bleacher Report’s Zach Buckley recently predicted Valdez would ditch the Astros and opt to sign a five-year deal with the San Francisco Giants this winter. While all of those destinations seem reasonable, our crystal ball sees the Giants making a splash in their rotation after heavily investing in their lineup of late.” The Giants desperately need to add another pitcher to their roster after trading a few arms away for Rafael Devers. Adding Valdez is definitely a possibility for the Giants. They have the money to make a deal like this come to fruition. If they want to close the gap on the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League West, they’ll need to make a big move like this.
