Fremantle Dockers utility Gabby Biedenweg-Webster de-listed despite playing all but one game in 2025

Fremantle have made the brutal call to de-list Gabby Biedenweg-Webster despite the utility playing all but one game of their 2025 AFLW campaign. The Dockers announced on Friday Biedenweg-Webster would not be offered a contract in one of three list changes, with Amy Mulholland and Jo Cregg opting to retire. Biedenweg-Webster started her career at Gold Coast, where she played three games across two seasons, before being signed by the Dockers ahead of the 2024 season as a replacement player for injured captain Ange Stannett. Since earning a debut in round three of her first season with the club, she missed only one game — a 100-point humbling at the hands of North Melbourne in round three of this year. Mulholland played 33 games across four seasons at Fremantle, including four this season, but was not sighted after their western derby win over West Coast in round five. Cregg featured 14 times at AFLW level in her first two years with the Dockers but played only two games in 2025. Dockers AFLW boss Claire Heffernan said the club was “incredibly thankful to Jo, Amy and Gabba for the time and dedication they’ve given to Fremantle.” “Gabba is someone who embodies the Fremantle spirit — selfless, hard-working and team-first,” Heffernan said. “She embraced this opportunity with both hands and has continued to grow and develop during her time with us. “She has been a player her teammates can always rely on to give everything she has. “Both Amy and Jo were members of our Irish recruits, and both have been wonderful role models for the younger players in our squad. “Each of them has contributed in their own unique way to our team and culture, and they’ll always be part of the Freo family. “We wish them all the very best for what comes next.”
