An ex-WWE talent with ties to “The OTC,” Roman Reigns, has announced plans to return to a country he once performed in for a major tournament. Following his WWE release, Lance Anoaʻi has taken to his X account to reveal his next career move, and fans are already speculating. Goal for 2026! Some fans are wondering if that means Anoaʻi could be making his return to Pro Wrestling Noah. Back in 2023, Anoaʻi performed in the N-1 Victory tournament. He competed in the B block and managed to secure eight points. With Anoaʻi seeking a return to in-ring action in Japan, one can’t rule out a possible return to MLW in North America. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported that Anoaʻi and MLW did have some issues in early 2023 that weren’t fixed, and the two sides eventually parted ways. Whether or not any bridges were burned remains to be seen, but Anoaʻi still has value for a slew of promotions as a member of the legendary Anoaʻi family. Anoaʻi is the cousin of Reigns, and the two have even appeared on WWE TV together. Reigns saved Anoaʻi from a post-match beatdown at the hands of Drew McIntyre and Shane McMahon during an episode of “Monday Night Raw” back in 2019. While Anoaʻi signed a contract with WWE back in 2024, he never performed under that deal. It was reported that Anoaʻi dealt with some bad injury luck, which prevented him from appearing on “NXT” and “Evolve” before his release.
