Former cathaoirleach of Cavan County Council Sean McKiernan arriving to be sentenced for stealing more than €170,000 from a mental health charity A former Fine Gael councillor and ex-cathaoirleach of Cavan County Council has been further remanded on bail after being charged with stealing €172,000 from a mental health housing charity. Seán McKiernan, with an address at Trinity Bungalow, Virginia Road, Bailieborough in Co Cavan, appeared before Judge John Martin at Trim Circuit Court today, November 7.
