Hyderabad: Several passengers were stranded at the MGBS Gowliguda on Friday night as the ever busy bus station was flooded with water from Musi River. With flood water gushing into the premises, the TGSRTC announced this morning the temporary suspension of bus operations from the station. Due to heavy flooding in the Musi River, floodwater entered the MGBS and several terminals were waterlogged and the arriving passengers stranded. The DRF and SDRF teams reached the spot and began operations to rescue and shift passengers to safety. TGSRTC, while announcing the suspension of services, said the bus services towards Adilabad, Karimnagar, Medak, and Nizamabad would be operated from JBS and services towards Warangal and Hanamkonda would operate from Uppal crossroads. The bus services towards Suryapet, Nalgonda, and Vijayawada were shifted to LB Nagar and those services heading towards Mahabubnagar, Kurnool, and Bengaluru were operated from Aramghar. TGSRTC requested passengers not to come to MGBS, as buses were being diverted to other boarding points. Passengers were advised to use the designated alternative boarding stations to reach their destinations. For further details, passengers were asked to contact TGSRTC call centers: 040-69440000 or 040-23450033.
