Final Injury Report for Warriors-Kings, Will Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler Play?

The Golden State Warriors are on the road on Wednesday night as they travel to take on the Sacramento King in a Western Conference matchup. Golden State enters Wednesday’s game with a 5-3 record after defeating the Phoenix Suns at home on Tuesday night. In Tuesday’s victory over the Suns, Stephen Curry led the way for the Warriors with 28 points, four rebounds and three assists while Moses Moody recorded 24 points and five rebounds off the bench. Now Golden State will try to pick up their sixth victory of the season as they face off against the Sacramento Kings on the second night of a back-to-back. On the other side, the Kings enter Wednesday’s contest with a 2-5 record after losing to the Denver Nuggets on Monday night on the road. Russell Westbrook led the way for Sacramento in Monday’s loss as he ended the game with 26 points, 12 rebounds and six assists while Domantas Sabonis recorded 13 points, 17 rebounds and five assists. While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Wednesday’s matchup, both squads may be without multiple star players due to injuries. Warriors Injury Report, Will Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler Play? For the Warriors, they have five players listed on their injury report for Wednesday’s game, including both Curry and Jimmy Butler. Golden State has ruled out Curry for Wednesday’s game due to an illness after head coach Steve Kerr announced that he would be sidelined after Tuesday’s victory. This is a massive blow for the Warriors as Curry has had another strong start to the season and with him sidelined, Brandin Podziemski, Gary Payton II and Will Richard may be in line for larger roles. Golden State has also listed Butler as questionable due to a back injury that caused him to exit Tuesday’s game early. Because of this, it would not be a surprise to see the Warriors sit Butler against the Kings and if that is the case, Moody could have a larger role once again. The Warriors have also ruled out Alex Toohey and De’Anthony Melton for Wednesday’s game while Al Horford will return after missing Tuesday’s contest. Kings Injury Report, Will Domantas Sabonis, Zach LaVine Play? On the other side, the Kings have three players listed on their injury report, including both Sabonis and Zach LaVine. Sacramento has listed Sabonis as questionable due to a left ribcage contusion and if he is sidelined, Drew Eubanks and Maxime Raynaud may have larger roles. The Kings have also listed LaVine as questionable due to lower back soreness while Keegan Murray remains sidelined as he recovers from offseason thumb surgery. The good news for the Kings is that Malik Monk is off their injury report and will play against the Warriors after missing the last two games due to personal reasons and he could have a large role if LaVine is sidelined. Fans can catch Wednesday’s matchup between the Warriors and Kings from Sacramento at 10:00 p.m. EST.
