The Los Angeles Lakers are on the road on Monday night as they travel to take on the Charlotte Hornets in an interconference matchup. Los Angeles enters Monday’s game with a 7-3 record after losing to the Atlanta Hawks on the road on Saturday night. In Saturday’s loss to the Hawks, Luka Doncic led the way for the Lakers as he recorded 22 points, five rebounds and 11 assists while Jarred Vanderbilt added 12 points and 18 rebounds of his own off the bench. Now Los Angeles will try to bounce back in Monday’s game against a struggling Hornets team as they try to pick up their eighth victory of the season. On the other side, the Hornets enter Monday’s contest with a 3-6 record after losing to the Miami Heat on Friday night. Kon Knueppel led the way for Charlotte in Friday’s loss as he ended the game with 30 points, eight rebounds and three assists while Tre Mann recorded 20 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. While both teams enter Monday’s game looking to pick up another victory, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries. Lakers Injury Report, Will Austin Reaves Play? For the Lakers, they enter Monday’s matchup with four players listed on their injury report, including guard Austin Reaves. Los Angeles has listed Reaves as questionable due to a right groin strain that has sidelined him the last three games. The good news for the Lakers is that Reaves has been upgraded to questionable for Monday’s game but if he is sidelined once again against the Hornets, Jake LaRavia will likely continue to fill in for him in the starting lineup. The Lakers have ruled out LeBron James, Gabe Vincent and Adou Thiero for Monday’s game as they continue to be sidelined due to injuries. Hornets Injury Report, Will LaMelo Ball, Miles Bridges Play? On the other side, the Hornets enter Monday’s contest with five players listed on their injury report, including both LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges. Charlotte has ruled out Ball due to a right ankle injury as he will miss his fourth consecutive game. With Ball sidelined, Mann, Collin Sexton and Sion James could be in line for larger roles once again. The Hornets have also ruled out Brandon Miller, Josh Green and Grant Williams while Bridges is listed as questionable due to back spasms. If Bridges is sidelined against the Lakers, Tidjane Salaun and Liam McNeeley could have larger roles in Monday’s game.
