The New York Knicks are on the road on Friday night as they travel to take on the Chicago Bulls to start NBA Cup group play. New York enters Friday’s game with a 2-2 record after losing to the Milwaukee Bucks on the road on Tuesday night. In Tuesday’s loss to the Bucks, Jalen Brunson led the way for the Knicks as he recorded 36 points, four rebounds and three assists while Mikal Bridges ended the game with 24 points, 11 rebounds and six assists. Now New York will try to bounce back as they try to begin NBA Cup group play with a victory over the red-hot Bulls. On the other side, the Bulls enter Friday’s game with a perfect 4-0 record after defeating the Sacramento Kings at home on Wednesday night. Matas Buzelis led the way for the Bulls in Wednesday’s victory as he ended the game with 27 points and five rebounds while Josh Giddey recorded 20 points, eight rebounds and 12 assists. While both teams are looking for a key victory to begin NBA Cup group play in Friday’s matchup, both squads may be without multiple players due to injuries. Knicks Injury Report, Will Karl-Anthony Towns, Mitchell Robinson Play? For the Knicks, they have three players listed on their injury report for Friday’s contest, including star center Karl-Anthony Towns. New York has listed Towns as probable due to a quad strain and he is expected to play barring a setback before tipoff. The Knicks have also listed Guerschon Yabusele as probable with a knee injury, though he is also expected to play. Mitchell Robinson has been upgraded to questionable for the first time this season due to ankle injury management and there is a chance he makes his season debut against the Bulls on Friday night. The Knicks will also get back Miles McBride in Friday’s game after he missed their last two games due to personal reasons. Bulls Injury Report, Will Coby White Play? On the other side, the Bulls have two players listed on their injury report for Friday’s game as they have ruled out Coby White and Zach Collins. For White, he remains sidelined due to a calf strain that has caused him to miss every game of the season thus far. Collins also remains out due to recovery from wrist surgery that has sidelined him to start the season. Despite these injuries, the Bulls have still been able to start the season undefeated and they will try to grab their fifth victory of the year on Friday.
