PTC Web Desk: The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a Class I recall, its highest level of warning, for two varieties of Bundt cakes made by Doan’s Bakery. The recall covers the White Chocolate Coconut and Carrot Bundt Cakes, which were sold nationwide between June 1 and September 24, 2025.According to the company, the recall was initiated because the cakes may contain undeclared wheat and milk allergens. These ingredients were missing from the product labels, creating a potential risk for people with wheat or milk allergies.A Class I recall means there is a reasonable chance that consuming the affected product could cause serious health problems or even death. The FDA warned that even a small amount of these allergens can trigger severe allergic reactions in sensitive individuals. The recalled cakes were sold through two retail stores in New York and California with distribution across the United States.Doan’s Bakery, known for its popular White Chocolate Coconut Bundt Cake, a dessert often shared by actor Tom Cruise with friends during the holidays, took the action voluntarily after a routine facility inspection on September 24 revealed the labeling issue. As of October 1, there have been no reported allergic reactions, illnesses, or deaths linked to the recalled products. However, the FDA urges anyone with wheat or milk allergies to avoid eating the cakes.Consumers can reach Goldbelly Customer Support for more information or refunds at 1-888-675-6892 or via support@goldbelly.com
