Fatboy Slim has admitted he loves to eat ants and fish sperm. The DJ - whose name is Norman Cook - said 'I've got a taste for ants' after eating them in South America. He said he ate 'actual fish sperm' in Japan and has also tried frogspawn in Taiwan. Speaking on the Life's a Beach podcast, the 62-year-old star said he'd 'do anything really'. The weirdest thing the superstar said he's had in his mouth is 'ants. He said: "It was in South America. "I've had them in Mexico and Colombia. I've got a taste for ants. The first time I had them was ant powder. "They roast them and crush them up and it's just a powder on top of a load of other stuff. It took until about the third time before I realised what the ant taste bit was because you're eating something really nice anyway." The Right Here, Right Now singer continued: "But yeah, ants – I'd do anything really. I've had frogspawn. In Taiwan we had a soup with frogspawn on it. "It was floating like it would do in a pond. That was nice. "And I've had fish sperm – not fish eggs, like roe – actual fish sperm, in Japan." Speaking earlier this month, the Praise You hitmaker urged Gen Z youngsters to stop "living online". He told the Daily Star that there's all kinds of beauty to be found in a chaotic night out. The star said: "It would be a shame. So much beauty happens in nightclubs and at festivals and on the dancefloor, when you are living outside the box. "Friendships are made, you fall in love or you find out things about yourself… it'd be a shame for a generation to miss out on all that enlightenment. "What is it Billy Bragg said? 'You can experience the download, but you can't download the experience.' You have to be out there and living that life to find out what life's all about." During the pandemic, he was worried that "kids would grow up never having lived their formative years off their nut in a nightclub". He also admitted he knew he had to quit drinking after a wild night out with Cher, which he cannot remember. The DJ said: "This is the testament - ladies and gentlemen, I am 16 years sober and this is one of the reasons why.
