Three people have been confirmed dead while several others sustained injuries in a tragic road accident at Tatale-Sanguli in the Northern Region. The victims were on board a Kia Rhino truck with registration number GW 5828-17, returning from the Kukpalgu market when the crash occurred. According to eyewitnesses, the driver was momentarily blinded by the intense headlights of an oncoming articulator truck. In an attempt to avoid a collision, he swerved and rammed into a stationary tricycle (motor king) parked along the roadside. The collision killed three passengers instantly, with several others rushed to a nearby health facility for treatment. Tatale-Sanguli District Chief Executive Mary Tagba and Member of Parliament William Ayo Ntebe have since visited the victims’ families to offer condolences and support. Police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident and to prevent future occurrences along the route.
