Fans Swoon Over Throwback TV Moment With '70s Teen Heartthrob and ‘Brady Bunch’ Star Eve Plumb

Fans were left swooning after a ’70s teen heartthrob revisited a classic TV moment with Brady Bunch star Eve Plumb on social media. Donny Osmond shared a clip from his 1972 sitcom appearance on Here’s Lucy via Facebook, where he played himself. The episode featured Plumb as Patricia, a young woman and huge fan of the singer who attended a charity event to hear him sing. The clip also featured Lucille Ball and her daughter Lucie Arnaz (Kim), who were seated with Plumb. In the clip’s caption, Osmond wrote, “A little throwback to my performance on this 1972 episode of Here’s Lucy, which guest-starred Eve Plumb! Bonus points if you can remember the reason I put on this concert for them.” In the retro video, Osmond performed his 1972 hit “Too Young.” He wore one of his most popular stage costumes of the era, a white-studded jumpsuit with a purple scarf tied around his neck. You were great, and I loved seeing you play yourself in the episode. What I would have given to be Eve Plumb at that moment!” recalled one fan. “I remember this!!!! I was crying and so jealous of Eve!! It was a charity event or something like that,” penned a second viewer. “I taped it on a cassette recorder. Lol,” joked a third social media user. “Super. Fabulously super” throwback!” wrote a final fan. Donny Osmond’s ‘Here’s Lucy’ plot twist Donny Osmond’s mini-concert wasn’t the only song he sang during one of Here’s Lucy‘s most unforgettable episodes. The former teen idol was featured throughout the episode and duetted with Lucie Arnaz at its end. The episode, titled “Lucy and Donny Osmond,” was part of the series’ fifth season. Per IMDB, it aired in November 1972. The plot twist was that after Donny spotted Kim in the audience, he fell in love at first sight. He eventually developed a crush on Kim, but she had to tell him that she could not reciprocate his feelings. Later in the episode, Arnaz and Osmond duet on the song “I’ll Never Fall in Love Again.” The popular song was initially released by Dionne Warwick in 1969.
